HOW MANY IMAGES WILL YOU TAKE - AND CAN WE HAVE THEM ALL?
We frequently shoot in what is called ‘hi-burst’; taking about 10 frames per second. This is to make sure that we get eyes pin sharp or that we capture exactly the right shot during a moment that is rapidly changing. As a result and depending on the size of your wedding we can shoot over 5,000 photographs on the day! Every one of these images is recorded in a RAW file format (a much larger file than a JPEG) requiring extensive storage capability and skilled post production before we can create the 400 or so images that become the story of your wedding day. It is an essential part of our process to ‘cull’ the images that do not meet the technical, compositional and aesthetic standards that define each photographer’s professional style and signature. In short, we only release those images that we are happy to put our name to!
DO WE 'OWN' THE IMAGES?
The photographer always retains the ownership of the images (the copyright), whilst you have a ‘licence’ to use them. What this means in practice is that you may do whatever you wish with the supplied images except use them for commercial or financial gain.
HOW DO YOU USE THE IMAGES?
Aside of course from providing you with a downloadable online gallery and producing a slideshow (and an album, if ordered), it is usual for a photographer to use the images on his / her website – which is after all how you know what type of photographs we will take! Additionally, the photographer may use certain images on social media to promote his / her business. This is always done with great respect.
WHY DO WE NEED A SECOND SHOOTER?

With a second shooter both bride and groom preparation is fully covered, especially important when the bride and groom are getting ready in different locations.

A second shooter will capture even more spontaneous moments and will help coordinate group shots if needed and set up lighting when necessary.

As a husband and wife team, we do not make a charge for a second shooter.

WHY HAVE AN ENGAGEMENT / PRE WEDDING SHOOT?
Why not… you have just got engaged!  Celebrate it with some gorgeous photographs of you both! Our shoots are fun, spontaneous and informative and capture your personality and the love you have for each other in an informal and stress-free way, making you better prepared for your wedding day, which isn’t a rehearsal!
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, we have public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
We shoot with the latest Sony full frame mirrorless cameras. Every item of gear has a back-up, from SD cards to camera bodies and lenses to the hard drives (we back-up our images three times: to two separate hard drives and to the cloud). There are even two of us!
ARE YOU AVAILABLE ANY DAY OF THE WEEK?
Yes, we are full time photographers. When we aren’t at a shoot we are editing photographs, preparing albums or meeting lovely couples at wedding fairs!
WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING PROCESS?
Once we have confirmed our availability, we will send you a contract to sign and return to us with a non refundable deposit of £500 with the balance due six weeks before your wedding day.
